Stepmother's concern for governm=ent employees' children?

Among the budget proposals scheduled for the year 2025, a news announcement that caught the attention of the entire university system was the increase of Mahapola scholarships to 7500 rupees and bursary scholarships to 6500 rupees. The only question I ask myself when I see this news is what special privileges the children of government employees get.

The government employees who face all the problems faced by the entire country live on the monthly income. The only difference between the government employees and the rest of the people is that if the government employees get a fixed hard salary, the private sector employees as well as the rich people in business will get a higher salary than the government employees.

How can government employees be ineligible to receive all allowances?  Is there such a good economic pattern in this country?  It is questionable on what basis the children of government employees who have gone to university or higher education will be deprived of everything.

The discussion that occurs when a Mahapola bursary premium is reduced does not arise on this matter.  If there is equality for all, is this equality for government employees and their children?

I am repeatedly questioning what are the special privileges given to the children of government employees by the government.
