Who is eligible to vote?

  It is the season of the most heated discussion about voting in the Sri Lankan society. After the dictatorial election, the next general election is scheduled to be held on the fourteenth.       


    

 Generally, those who have completed the age of 18 will be eligible to vote in an election.  Abstention from voting is also not a legal offense, but acts such as impersonation or a display of signs are considered violations of election laws.

Also, civil servants who support the election days, armed services members, police officers, personnel engaged in other duties and government and Moha Bank employees, employees of the prison department and essential services will be eligible for postal voting.  You can get the support of another person in front of you.                  

  Also, as persons who cannot vote in the general election, migrant persons, persons living in foreign countries, persons engaged in peacekeeping duties in the security sector cannot vote without coming to Sri Lanka. Furthermore, persons whose identity cannot be verified in some way, including death penalty prisoners, will not be able to vote.  have                

  But voting is a powerful weapon to hold your community accountable.
