Will the new recruitments in public service be successful?

Civil service was established in this country after colonialism and its purpose was state reform and economic growth.  The political executive that came after 1956 brought the public service to an unimaginable place in a few decades.  The culture of filling the public service for the next election was born and the public service became a vote bank and became a burden to the country. No government bothered to change this fact.  It came to this stage again after the country went bankrupt.

Now there has been a discussion about the recruitment of Adidu public service with the proposal made by the Anura Kumara Dissanayake government in its maiden budget to fill the 30,000 essential vacancies in the public sector.  Here he recalled the past tradition of filling the public service with politicians and supporters and pledged that the National People's Power would stop all that.  Accordingly, he ensured that the recruitments, promotions and transfers of Rajamsya are done without political influence based on merit and merit.

Public service is indispensable for citizens in the journey of life. Public service is rooted in the good of the citizens. It is not a duty but a public responsibility. However, through the appointments made by seeking votes, the public sector was flattened to the ground and became government institutions without responsibility. This is why it is essential to look for anomalies in essential recruitments when recruiting for public service.

In a press conference announcing the cabinet announcement last year, the Cabinet Press Secretary Mr. Nalinda Jatika mentioned that the recruitment for the lower grades in many hospitals was done not according to the needs of the hospital but according to the political needs. The hospitals are full of unnecessary workers even though they are essential doctors. There are no drivers for the train, there are no teachers in the schools but there are plenty of casual workers.  Appointment of Ministers.

So, if the 30,000 new jobs provided by this government belong to such casual workers, it will be a burden to the public service. According to the existing situation, the others needed for the public service are not employees but essential employees. The point to be remembered is that the government is planning to make such new recruitments at a salary of 40,000.
